The Chamber's third main task is to stimulate the regional economy.
On the basis of their expertise and consultation with employers' and employees' organisations, the Chambers of Commerce comment on (regional) government plans. In doing so, they give an authoritative voice to regional business & industry.
In addition, the Chambers undertake all sorts of initiatives to stimulate the regional economy and to create more space for business in every sense of the word.
In this connection the Chambers cover a wide spectrum of fields, including the regional economy, physical planning, transport, the environment, energy, retailing, recreation and tourism.
The activities in these fields are always discussed with the regional employers' and employees' organisations and implemented in co-operation with industry organisations as well as local and regional employers' associations.
These parties, incidentally, also make use of the expertise available at the Chambers. That way, the regional organisations and the Chamber of Commerce effectively complement each other as ideal partners.
