Frequently asked questions about your account and access code
Access code
Request your access code directly (in Dutch). You need an access code to order products from the Business Register and to file your business’s annual accounts online.
Tip: you do not need an access code to order a paper or digital certified KVK extract. You can then pay directly via iDEAL or by credit card.
If you cannot log in with your access code and password:
- log in to the Business Register page (in Dutch);
- check that you have entered the access code correctly;
- check that Caps Lock is not on when you type your password;
- request a replacement password (in Dutch) and use it to log in.
If you get an error message or none of the above suggestions solve your problem, contact us.
Find the situation that applies to you below. We will then restore your access to the Business Register as soon as possible.
- I lost my password (in Dutch).
- I lost my access code. For security reasons, you can only request a new access code.
- I do not have an access code yet and want to request an access code.
The access code for the Business Register Online and the UBO register is free. You only pay for the products you order.
Filing annual accounts with an access code is free.
You can request several access codes for your business. Request an additional access code (username) directly. At step 2 (‘Betalingskenmerken’ – payment features), you will see the message that there is already an access code for your business. You may ignore this message.
Check if the email is in your junk or spam folder. If you did not receive the email, contact us. We will re-send your password.
You will receive your password via email immediately after requesting an access code. You will receive your access code in a separate email or by post. This may take a few days.
You will not find your own registration details or a KVK Extract for your own business on your personal page. You can request a KVK Extract for your own business.
If your business is an 'eenmanszaak' (sole proprietorship), you can log in to My sole proprietorship with your DigiD to see your details free of charge.
My KVK
In My KVK ('Mijn KVK'), you can File financial statements yourself (for small businesses), prepare and upload XBRL annual accounts (for medium-sized businesses), and scan documents. You also have free access to the KVK Business Challenge. Here you can participate in monthly challenges where you share innovative solutions.
You can view and manage your My KVK settings.
You cannot order Business Register products from a My KVK account yet.
You can use My KVK to create an account online. To create an account, you need a valid email adddress. We also ask you for your first name and surname, so we can address you in our communication.
You will receive an email to activate your account within half an hour. If you have not received the link, check your junk folder.
Try to create a new account with the email address you want to use. If that does not work, use the forgotten password option to set a new password.
You can do this yourself.
- Go to My KVK
- Log in with your email address and password
- Under ‘Account’, choose ‘Settings’
- On the ‘Settings’ page, choose ‘Delete login details’
- You must confirm your choice
- Enter your password again
- Click to confirm that you want to delete your account.
Your account has now been deleted. You no longer have access to My KVK.
You will not find your own registration details or a KVK Extract for your own business on your personal page. You can request a KVK Extract for your own business.
If your business is an 'eenmanszaak' (sole proprietorship), you can log in to My sole proprietorship with your DigiD to see your details free of charge.
DigiD
You can apply for a DigiD via www.digid.nl. You need to have a citizen service number (BSN) and the Dutch nationality, or that of another country inside the European Economic Area (EEA). Do you live outside the Netherlands? The Nederland Wereldwijd website explains how to apply for a DigiD abroad.
If you cannot log in with DigiD, it could be because of:
- Wrong username or password: check that you are using the correct details. Pay attention to uppercase and lowercase letters.
- Your DigiD is not activated. First activate your DigiD with the activation code you received by letter in the mail.
- Your DigiD is blocked. Wait until the block is lifted and try again (after 15 minutes).
- Your DigiD has expired, because you have not used it for 3 years. Apply for a DigiD again.
