Online shopping and ordering is getting more and more popular. As a result of the explosive growth of online business the number of payment methods increases as well. Afterpay got very popular in a short time frame. However, the possibility to pay afterwards includes a financial risk for webshops.
Bad debt is a major cost driver for webshops, which they have to include in their sales prices. Besides that bad debt is responsible for the situation that non-paying consumers are registered into the BKR Register, as well as in other debtor registers. Finally the risk of bad debt sometimes means that trustworthy customers are rejected.
Can you think of a solution, that results in a lower percentage of bad debt, especially of high value invoices? We want to get in touch with SMEs with experience and ideas on this subject and are very willing to share knowledge. A good idea might even lead to a (new) joint business.
