Psychologists may, while practising their profession, be confronted with intimidation, aggression, or other threatening situations. In the event of a probable threat, the business address of the entrepreneur (with the exception of BVs, NVs, and other limited companies) may, subject to certain conditions, be withheld from the Business Register. This is set out in a covenant between the Netherlands Institute of Psychologists (NIP) and KVK.
A condition for this is that the professional body representing these employees has agreed on confidentiality criteria with KVK. The NIP and KVK have set out these agreements in a .
Conditions for confidentiality of visiting address
You are eligible for confidentiality of your visiting address if you meet the following criteria:
- You or a co-resident belong to the professional group of psychologists as defined in the agreement with the Netherlands Institute of Psychologists (NIP).
- You submit a statement from or on behalf of the NIP confirming that you meet the criteria of the agreement.
