You want to import consumer products from abroad. Various laws and regulations apply to the import of products. Finding information about this can be hard. The KVK Import Tool can help you and save you time.
For whom?
Business owners in the Netherlands who import consumer products. You are just starting out or already have some experience. The KVK Import Tool is not for private consumers who want to buy products abroad or for the import of samples, waste products, or products intended for recycling.
How does it work?

The KVK Import Tool for a detailed overview
You will receive an overview of the most important laws and regulations for imports. Sometimes you will need to find out more. To do so, use the links in the answers the KVK Import Tool gives you. You can also ask for help from specialists such as forwarding agents, the Customs Administration of the Netherlands, and product and food safety consultancies. And always check in advance whether there are any sanctions against your foreign business partner.

The KVK Import Tool will be expanded
At this moment, the KVK Import Tool is only available in Dutch. We are working on the English version of the tool.
In the KVK Import Tool, you can choose 168 import countries. There are more than 50 consumer products listed. KVK will expand this to 100 products.
