Noord-Holland and agrofood head 18th KVK Innovation Top 100

KVK presents list of 100 Dutch innovations

The province Noord-Holland and the agrofood sector have a strong presence in the 18th KVK Innovation Top 100, an overview of the most innovative Dutch SME companies.

With 22 companies, Noord-Holland is the province with the most innovative companies in the list, followed by Zuid-Holland (20) and Noord-Brabant (17). Besides agrofood (17 innovations), many innovations come grom the IT sector (16) and healthcare (also 16). Nearly two thirds of the companies on the list employ 10 staff or less. There are 23 startups. The oldest company on the list is the Brabantse Knaapen Groep from Son, founded in 1652.

Over 300 entries

Panels of innovation experts selected the 100 companies to be included in the annual KVK Innovation Top 100 from over 300 entries. All nominees were judged on their impact on the sector and society, originality, availability, realised turnover, and growth potential. The KVK Innovation Top 100 winner receives an award; not giving prize money is a conscious choice. The initiative wants to highlight what Dutch SME companies are capable of.

SenseGlove

On 30 November 2023 a jury, chaired by Ruud Koornstra, will announce the exact position of all companies during the KVK Innovation Top 100 Event. That is also the moment that it becomes clear which company takes over the position of Delft-based SenseGlove as most innovative SME company in the Netherlands for the coming year.
