On 1 January 2026, Petra Jansen op de Haar will join the board of the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce KVK (KVK). Together with board chairman Rodrique Engering, she will form the new board team.
Rodrique Engering: "We are delighted by Petra's arrival. She has a unique combination of knowledge and experience in business in the fields of data, digitalisation, and provision of services, exactly the disciplines where the emphasis lies in this board role. What appeals to me personally is her enthusiasm for KVK's social tasks and the way we support entrepreneurs. I look forward to continuing to build a future-oriented KVK together with her."
Experience in financial services
Petra brings a broad experience from the financial provision of services. She was active at ASR and Hiltermann Lease, among others. From these positions, she regularly worked with KVK, both as a (managing) director and in the role of data buyer. However, her involvement in entrepreneurship goes back further: growing up in an entrepreneurial family, she developed an excessive interest in entrepreneurship at an early age. "My heart has been beating for entrepreneurs for years. I admire their perseverance and see how crucial they are for the Netherlands," she says.
Reliable and up-to-date
"For both entrepreneurs and society as a whole, KVK data forms the basis for obtaining reliable and up-to-date information and advice. I therefore attach great importance to its quality. In this importance, I also see the need for a stronger role for KVK and I am happy to commit to that."
Besides her knowledge of data and business operations, Petra brings extensive experience in digital transformation and improving provision of services. "I look forward to helping KVK develop further in these areas, with the interests of entrepreneurs as a compass."
About KVK
KVK registers all businesses, legal entities, and organisations participating in economic transactions in the Netherlands. This is how KVK creates transparency about business partners and strengthens safe economic traffic.
For entrepreneurs, KVK acts as a guide to new legislation and regulations and as an independent and reliable source of information on topics such as financing, international business, doing business in difficult times, or money matters. In doing so, KVK is a cooperative partner in the national and regional economic ecosystem and infrastructure of the Netherlands' entrepreneurs.
