The answer is: yes! In the Netherlands, there is no minimum age for becoming an entrepreneur. But there are some rules you need to follow.
English subtitles are available.
In this video, Max and Lisanne explain in one minute how running a business as a person under 18 works. If you are a minor:
- you need permission from a parent or guardian to sign contracts or make purchases
- your parents or guardian are liable for your business’s debts or damages
- from the age of 16 or 17, you can apply to the court for limited legal capacity
- And, of course, you must register your business with KVK.
