How do I choose a cancellation date?

Are you closing your business? If so, you will need to deregister your company with KVK. You will need to choose a deregistration date, and that date is important.

In this video, KVK presenters Max and Lisanne offer tips in just one minute on how to choose a suitable deregistration date.

• Choose a date after your last business activities.

• Bear in mind taxes and benefits: the financial year ends on 31 December.

• Take the time to tie up all loose ends: rent, insurance, loans or staff.

Also, make sure you don’t deregister too early! Without a KVK number, you will not be able to claim business support, for example.
