How did business develop in the first quarter of 2026?
More starters and fewer stoppers
In the first quarter of 2026, the number of starters increased. There were 2% more starters registered compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the number of businesses that stopped declined. The number of businesses closing dropped by 7.2%. This is the first decrease following 2.5 years of increases in the number of stoppers. Bankruptcies fell by 10.9%

Trends over 10 years and per quarter
