KVK Data: developments and news

Do you use KVK data? For example, information from the Business Register via the search function on kvk.nl, an extract, or the KVK API. If so, you will want to stay up to date with developments and planned maintenance. Find out what changes are coming to the KVK data products and what this means for you.

Now available: BAG-ID

Since March 2026, the BAG-ID has also been available via the KVK Business Register Selections Offline data product. The BAG-ID is not a company detail from the KVK registers but a detail from the Kadaster (Land Registry). If you order this KVK Business Register Selections Offline product, you will receive an address file containing an additional column with BAG-IDs for each address, both for visiting addresses or postal addresses. Using these BAG-IDs and the Kadaster ’s BAG viewer (in Dutch), you can identify which property corresponds to a visiting address. Properties include residential properties, public spaces, buildings, pitches, and moorings. You can also view details of these properties in the Kadaster , such as their size and function (for example, shop or warehouse).

Here are some examples of how you can use this data:

  • Quickly see the difference between addresses. For example, one address might be a warehouse and the other a mooring. This way, you know straight away which BAG-ID and which property you need to inspect.
  • Link WOZ records to the corresponding property using the BAG-ID. This ensures you allocate property tax to the correct address.
  • Develop policy using BAG information. For example, determine energy requirements based on the type of building.
  • Send post to the correct address.

This is what the BAG-ID looks like

Are you applying for the BAG-ID via the KVK Business Register Selections Offline? If so, you will receive two pieces of information for the visiting address: the number designation and the property. Does the business owner also have a postal address? If so, you will also receive a number designation and an addressable property for the postal address.
