Luuk's takeaways
What did Luuk learn during his entrepreneurship placement? Here are his 5 key takeaways:
- If you want to sell your service to someone, introduce yourself first and make small talk before you start the actual sales pitch.
- When you are just starting out, you can hire equipment – that is very handy. But as soon as you can afford it, invest in your own equipment. In the long run, it will work out cheaper.
- Take on as many jobs as possible at the start; it is good for your portfolio.
- Use the connections you have and try to make new ones, whether to secure assignments or to collaborate.
- Do not use technical jargon when talking to customers; speak in a language the customer understands.
