How can I exercise my privacy rights?

Find out here what rights you can exercise in regard to your personal data, and in which cases. Do you want to assert one of these rights? Select the desired request and go to ‘Submit request’. You will receive a reply within 30 days of the date of receipt of your request.

Please note that these rights do not apply to data in the Business Register. Nor can you apply for shielding of your private address under these rights. For that, follow the procedure on private address in the Business Register.
Viewing your data
If you wish to view your public personal data in the Business Register, you can do so by:
- By ordering a KVK Extract.
- In My Sole Proprietorship. The data you see online corresponds to the data shown on the extract from the Business Register.
If you wish to view your non-public personal data in the Business Register, you can do so via:
- By visiting one of our offices. This does not require an appointment and you must show proof of identity. After your request and identification, we will send you the data. There is no charge for this service.
If you want an overview of where you are/were registered, you can do so via:

Right of access
Submit a request for access in order to obtain the personal data that KVK processes about you.

If your personal data is incorrect, you may ask us to correct it.

Right to erasure
In certain (in Dutch), you have the right to have your personal data (or part thereof) erased. For example, this applies when the personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was obtained, or when the data has been processed unlawfully.

Right to restriction of processing
In a number of cases, you have the right to temporarily restrict the processing of your personal data.
This includes when you contest the accuracy of the data, if KVK no longer needs the data and you need the data for legal proceedings, or if you have objected to the processing and you are awaiting a decision on it.

Right to object to processing
When KVK processes your data on the grounds of public interest or legitimate interest, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for information on KVK’s products and services.
