Address

The following rules apply to addresses entered on form 2:

  • The address must be listed in the Basic Registration of Addresses and Buildings (BAG).
  • A residential address must also match the Personal Records Database (BRP) of the Dutch municipalities.

Use the BAG Viewer (in Dutch) to check whether the address of the company or legal person is correct in the BAG. This includes the street name, house number, addition (such as 24a or 24b), or designated use (such as retail premises). If something is incorrect, you can report the error on the BAG Viewer website.

The Business Register is linked to the Personal Records Database (BRP) (in Dutch) of the Dutch municipalities. If your residential address is not listed in the BRP or is incorrect, you must first have it corrected by your municipality.

If the address in the BAG or BRP is not correct, KVK cannot enter the partnership’s registration in the Business Register. Only send form 2 to KVK once the correct details are listed in the BAG and BRP.

Dates

Is the incorporation date of the VOF or CV more than 2 months ago? If so, KVK requires proof. For example, a purchase invoice or accountant's statement.

The dates you enter on this form may also be in the future, but no more than 3 months. KVK will ensure that they are visible in the Business Register from that moment on. In case of an takeovern, the registration is visible in the Business Register from the takeover date if possible.

Appointment or send in by post?

Check whether you need to visit KVK or can send the documents by post. The following questions will help you settle this.

Does a civil-law notary sign Form 2?

Then a partner who has an appointment with KVK for form 10 must also bring form 2. All partners must register with form 10. Are all partners legal entities or partnerships? Then you can send all the documents together to KVK.

Does a partner who is a natural person sign this form?

Then they must make an appointment to visit a KVK office.

Does a director of a partnership or legal entity who is a partner sign the documents?

Then give the documents to a person who must visit KVK to register as a partner with form 10. Are all the partners partnerships or legal entities? Then you can send all the documents by post.

Does the partner signing live abroad?

Then there are 3 possibilities:

  1. The partner visits KVK.
  2. The partner gives the documents to a person who has to visit the KVK to register as a partner using form 10.
  3. If no partner has to visit KVK, you can send the documents by post.

How do you make an appointment?

You make an appointment online. If more than 1 partner must visit KVK, make an appointment together.

What is KVK’s postal address?

Find the right postal address.

Which documents do you need to bring or send?

Check which documents you need to send to KVK to register a VOF or CV. The questions below will help you with this.

What must a person who is signing form 2 always bring?

Does the VOF or CV use a visiting or mailing address that is not the residential address of one of the partners?

If so, KVK requires documentary evidence showing that the VOF or CV may use the specified visiting and postal address.

Does the VOF or CV have more than 1 branch?

Register each branch using form 9.

Do you want to register an authorised representative or authorised commercial agent for the VOF or CV in the Business Register?

Register the authorised representative or commercial agent using form 13.

Has the VOF or CV taken over another company or branch?

The ex-owner of the company or branch must report this to KVK. For an eenmanszaak or branch office, they may use form 14. To report the end and takeover of a partnership (a VOF, CV, or maatschap), they can use form 17. To dissolve a legal entity (a BV, NV, or cooperative), they can use form 17A. KVK needs the original form (not a copy or scan).
