KVK checks whether companies listed in the Business Register are still active by comparing the entries in the Business Register with the database of the Tax and Customs Administration. If a business is found it be inactive, it is sent a letter from KVK. If you were sent one of these letters and do nothing, your company will be deregistered after 4 weeks. This process is called deregistration.
It can be difficult to determine exactly what constitutes an active business, which is why KVK bases its decisions on several fixed criteria. View all criteria.
