How to register a new branch of a stichting (foundation) or vereniging (association) that does not engage in commercial activities.
Check if you are required to register your branch
Not all branches of verenigingen (associations) or stichtingen (foundations) have to be registered. First check the branch registration diagram for stichtingen and verenigingen (in Dutch) to see if you are required to register your branch.
Fill in the form
If you are required to register your branch, Scroll down, click on ‘register a branch’, and follow the steps to fill in the (Dutch) form digitally. Or fill in the form 9a Registration Branch of a legal entity. On the form you also find which other documents to include.
Sign the digital form
There are two ways to sign the digital registration form: digitally and by post.Â
Digital form
After you complete the digital form, you will see which documents to upload. Next, you can sign them by logging in with DigiD and paying €0.01. KVK will officially register your new branch within two working days.
By post
After you complete the digital form, you can print it out and sign it. Or use the hardcopy-form. Send the form with all requested documents to KVK by post. We will officially register your new branch within ten working days.
Branch with commercial activities
Do you want to register a branch or office that does have commercial activities? Is it the first one? Then start by registering the company of the legal entity. This automatically creates a (commercial) branch registration. Does the legal entity already have a company? Then proceed to registering a branch office.Â
