Make an appointment to visit

Do you want to visit KVK? Make an appointment online first. You may not have to make an appointment, we also offer services online. Check whether you have to visit us, and if so, make an appointment at the KVK office of your choice.

Making an appointment

Yes, you must make an appointment before you visit the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce KVK. Many matters can be dealt with online. So check whether you really need an appointment.
You should make an appointment for the following purposes:

  • registering a new sole proprietorship, professional partnership, general partnership (vof), or limited partnership (cv);
  • registering a foundation or association that operates an enterprise or engages in commercial activities;
  • adding new executive staff members (such as a director, partner, or authorised representative). Please note that new executive staff members of foundations, associations, or owners’ associations that do not operate an enterprise can register by post;
  • acquiring an existing business;
  • changing the legal form.

You can make an appointment online by logging in with DigiD. You choose the date, time, and location yourself. You can plan an appointment up to 8 weeks in advance. You will receive a confirmation by email. Store this confirmation carefully. You will need it to register at the registration pillar in the office. Not every office has a reception desk.

Book an appointment in plenty of time, our offices are often busy.

To check availability, follow the same steps as for making an appointment online. You can see what appointment timeslots are available at each location. The number of available timeslots depends on how busy it is. You can make an appointment to visit any KVK office.

We offer advice consultations via chat, X, or telephone. Our advisers answer all your questions or connect/refer you to a specialist. You cannot make an appointment for this.

About my appointment

When you come to a KVK office to register a business, you need to bring:

If applicable, you might also need to bring

  • a copy of the rental or lease contract, signed by both parties
  • or a declaration of consent. Only use this for a residential address. It must be signed by the owner or resident.
  • VOF, CV, or maatschap contract, if you have made one
  • a franchise contract, if you are starting a franchise business

Do you not live in the Netherlands?

Check what additional information we need from you.

UBOs

Check if your organisation also needs to register UBOs. If so, bring the necessary information and documents with you as well:

You pay a one-off registration fee to register a new company or organisation. You can directly request a certified KVK Business Register Extract.

If you are late, our staff member will not be able to help you due to other appointments. In this case, we ask you to make a new appointment.

If you can post the form to us or if you must deliver it in person depends on the situation. The instructions on the form will tell you whether you can post it or not. Somettimes you must identify yourself in person at one of our offices. You can notify us of many changes online.

If you must visit us in person, bring the completed and signed form with you. You can only visit by appointment. Log in with Digid to make your appointment online. You can register at any KVK office in the Netherlands.

In busy periods it can be difficult to make an appointment. So plan ahead when booking an appointment. Bear in mind that you may have to wait more than a week for an appointment.
